SKKN Using web tools and online apps in teaching and testing English at Nguyen Duc Mau High School
As we know that, English is necessary for life. However, learning English is not easy for students in a coastal area, in which the population is still poor because they only know how to make a living by fishing. Learning English for students is torture, moreover, students and teachers do not have enough tools to help students learn more excitedly. In my heart, I always want my students to love English so that it will be useful for their lives in the future. When the Covid 19 pandemic occurred, students were forced to study online. Parents of students buy phones, iPads, and computers for students so that they can study better but they are not enough for all.
Fortunately, the Ministry of Education, the Department of Education launched the movement "Computer and Internet for students". The poor students in my school have the tools to learn. Realizing this is also an opportunity for English teachers and students to promote English learning and testing through web tools and online apps such as Quizizz, Blooket, Azota, LMS which are very familiar with children in economically developed and urban areas. Having applied Quizizz, Blooket, Azota, and LMS testing on the VNPT system in teaching testing English at Nguyen Duc Mau high school. I decided to choose the topic “Using web tools and online apps in testing and teaching English at Nguyen Duc Mau high school” for my experienced innovation.

Practical background 1. The reality of applying Quizizz, Blooket, Azota, and LMS testing on the VNPT system in teaching and testing English 12 at Nguyen Duc Mau high school. Nguyen Duc Mau High School is located in a coastal commune. Despite many difficulties in life, parents are always interested in their children's education. Recently, the children have realized the importance of learning English, which is a great advantage for the teachers here. Moreover, most of the teachers at my school have tried their best in renewing the old teaching methods to improve the quality of English teaching. Getting our students interested in learning English is a big challenge that every English teacher at my school really wants to achieve. Students often feel a lack of confidence in their English knowledge. They face many problems in memorizing new words, grammatical structures and skills. They also have little background knowledge, grammar and vocabulary. Students are aware of the importance of learning English. However, they find it difficult to learn without the support of teachers and teaching aids. I am teaching grade 12. One problem that I encounter in my classes is the reluctance of some students to engage in open classroom discussions. They will respond when called upon, but rarely want to raise their hand to volunteer. Other students, on the other hand, often blurt out impulsively and fill the air with responses, opinions, and convictions. I first used these online apps at the beginning of this school year. It asks and helps students answer all questions related to this topic using activities designed by Quizizz and Blooket. With Quizizz and Blooket, everyone in the class can answer individually, in pairs, or in groups. In addition, regular assessment is also a problem for teachers during the Covid 19 epidemic. Teachers have to teach online, not being able to directly contact students. So, checking reviews on Azota and LMS system as a solution that I personally find very suitable. As an English teacher, I feel it is challenging and necessary to innovate teaching methods and explore new, effective ways of teaching that meet students' expectations. I learned about some great educational apps that 37 increase student engagement and make my lessons more interesting. One of the most engaging and interactive tools I have used is called Quizizz, Blooket, Azota and the LMS system. I was really fascinated by these apps. I have been taught about many activities through these apps since this school year when Covid-19 was raging and dangerous in Vietnam and around the world and distance learning took over, that's one thing. luckily usable, it makes students feel like I'm right there with them and we get on with our lessons but most importantly continue with the relationships we've built and can build new relationships using these platforms... Therefore, I choose the topic “Using web tools and online apps in testing and teaching English at Nguyen Duc Mau high school” with the desire to share some experiences with my colleagues to improve the students' spirit of learning English12. 2. Experiment The main book for this study was Tieng Anh 12 – old version. The theme-based curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). This book consists of 16 units and all the lessons were mainly based on five skills: reading, speaking, listening, writing and language focus. However, During Covid 19 epidemic, Ministry of Education and Training enacts Official dispatch No 4040 to encourage teachers to focus on Reading and Grammatical points. Here are some facts of using Quizizz and Blooket in teaching, Azota, LMS testing in testing English. 2.1. Material preparation a. Experiment’s effect Having applied Quizizz, Blooket, Azota, and LMS testing on the VNPT system in teaching and testing English 12 during coved 19 pandemic, I can affirm that this application brings to my lectures much effectiveness. Not only do the games add students’ interest but they help my students improve all skills of English as well. I have done the experiments with this app for the students of 12th grader during the covid 19 epidemic. As a result, more and more students feel eager with studying English because they have no any tension or nervous. This is the reason why students study better. PART C: CONCLUSION 1. Conclusion and recommendation In conclusion, learning and testing English through these online apps and web tools is one effective and interesting way that can be applied in any class. The results of my research suggest that Using web tools and online apps in teaching and testing English seem to offer alternative teaching approaches compared to traditional lectures to engage students for a better and enhanced learning experience. There are some difficulties in using these apps and web tools, but the benefits of using them outstand the challenges. It is recommended that Quizizz, Blooket, Azota, and LMS testing on the VNPT system should be used in teaching and testing as the apps are friendly, highly interactive, increase engagement, and monitor student progress in real-time. Lectures should explore more with these apps so that they can be incorporated into teaching to create a meaningful learning experience. Not only can we apply these apps and web tools to teach and test English 12 but we also can use them to teach and test English in any class, even for other subjects. I hope to be commented to make my study more perfect. 39 2. Survey 40 3. Limitation of the teaching experience Learning through Quizizz and Blooket software, assessment through Azota and LMS is still relatively new to students, so many students are still confused and have not caught up at first. Teachers and students sometimes can't catch up with each other. The internet is still unstable and disrupts the progress of teachers and students. The number of phones and computers in some classes is not enough to meet the needs of studying and assessing students. Some classrooms lack equipment such as televisions. Some students do not have a sense of self-discipline in learning as well as assessment. 41 PART D: REFERENCES 1.
